Deadline for Entry: Midnight Wednesday July 29th, 2026
Entry Fee: $45.00 for a minimum of 3 pieces; $4.00 additional for each entry thereafter up to a maximum of 8 pieces. ($65) All pieces must be for sale. The gallery will retain a commission of 30% on all sales.
Life, Drawn: Art reflects the world we live in. When we draw inspiration from our surroundings something remarkable happens. Unmediated expression passes from eye to hand, often imperfectly, yet still able to reveal a deep sense of connection between the artist and the subject. When the artist resolves the inevitable tensions created by this process, the result is often revelatory.
Upstream Gallery invites artists working in any medium (except photography) to submit work informed by drawing inspiration from life – work that speaks to both physical and intuitive connection to the world around them. All styles ranging from abstract to representational are welcome.
The exhibition will be at Upstream Gallery, Hastings on Hudson, NY from August 13th to August 30th, 2026.Artists Reception on Sunday, August 16th 2-5 pm
Eligible Work: Drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture are all eligible for this juried show. Successful entries will demonstrate clear thematic relationships among two or more pieces. Photography is not eligible for this exhibition; we hold a separate show for photographic work.
Specifications: Maximum framed size may not exceed 30 x 40 inches. Accepted pieces must be properly wired or mounted for hanging. 3-D work must be ready for wall-mounting or have a base included. The gallery reserves the right to reject poorly presented pieces.
